Examples:

Let’s say your preferred category is health. Health in itself is of course too broad. Let’s say you want to write about a topic within this category, such as for instance diabetes. This subject could naturally be approached from several angles, but the focus of the reports I’m looking for is very practical, how-to advice. For instance how to treat, and prevent diabetes. Background information and theory is of course allowed to help the reader understand the subject matter.

Another example: let’s assume the topic is babies. A good topic would be “how to make your baby sleep through the night”

It is important that the report fills a specific need or solves a particular problem such as in the examples above.

Please keep in mind the above are JUST examples. I you want suggestions on particular topic I suggest that you use amazon.com. Look up your preferred topic such as “diabetes” (under books) and look at the titles that people are buying. These types of titles will often be a good match for this project. Needless to say, you should not copy any titles from amazon.

If you are particularly proficient in more than one category you may suggest topics in additional categories.

Please do not reply that you can handle most topics. I am sure you can, but I want you to write about the things you know and enjoy best.

Each report should be at least 15 pages of 500 words and probably no more than around 60 pages. There may be exceptions to this rule though.

The rate will vary from $20-$30 per 500 words depending on the quality of writing and topic suggested.

Please note that I will not be providing a byline, reports must be written from scratch and may not be resold.

The articles cover a wide variety of topics for consumers and small business owners.

Most topics revolved around how to make more money, save money, be smart with money, etc.. The articles are typically "How To" articles or book/website reviews. I'm looking for a writer with a very particular style and set of skills.

Your writing must be clear and fun to read. My readers want to be engaged, entertained and even amused. They are interested in reading my articles for two reasons, 1) to learn more about the topic, and 2) to see what the heck I'll say or do next (think: Oprah, Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh... love 'em or hate 'em, you can't want to see what they do next).

I'm looking for someone who is a prolific writer, but not a perfectionist. The writing needs to be fluid, casual, and produced quickly. The occasional typo, grammar mistake is not a big deal. Taking 5 hours to edit a single page to get it "perfect" is not desired in this situation.

Most of my email articles and website articles run in series.

So you might create a 5 article series on How to Get out of Debt, or How to Make Money in Your Spare Time, etc... Or you might have to write a 3 articles series reviewing a particular website, book, or home study course.

You'd be expected to spend 30% of your time researching the topic / review the website, book of course and the remainder of your time producing articles - usually 1 - 2 pages each (300 - 600 characters).

I'm expecting this position to require about 10 hours per week. You will need to have access to your computer and internet connection. Hours are very flexible, you can work from home. The only scheduling requirement is that you be available for at least 2 phone calls per week that will occur 9am - Noon PST (the company is based in California, you can be based anywhere). The specific time we chat is flexible as are the days of the week.

Each week you'd be expected to spend 1 - 3 hours researching the topic(s) of the week, and produce either 15-20 short email articles (roughly the length and formality of this job posting) or 10 articles (1-2 pages in length) -- probably some mix of the two.

If this position, the writing topic, style and pace suits your interests, skills and background, please send me the following items:

Thank you so much for the comment. I agree to that. Be careful in applying on these jobs, especially those that asks for initial payment. There are scams that roam around the net, and you'll never know which fools around from not, unless ofcourse you got fooled yourself. One can say, "I'm legitimate", well in fact, anyone can claim that even without meaning it. So be careful.

But then, Im not saying that all those who ask for initial payments are scams, there are those real legitimate ones like Freelanceworkexchange.com and Homebusinesssite.com. These sites act as "middle man" between the employers and the freelancers. However, if you wish to apply on these sites, most probably they'll pay you lower rates than that of a direct employment. Because, a portion of the service charge to the employers goes to these "middle men". On the other hand, the advantage of joining these sites is that they will look for employers for you, and that's were their charge goes.

But if you'll ask what I did, I never applied on these sites. I personally cant afford the risk. I'd rather look for direct employers (which I have found, by the way) and directly work for them. I should say it's beneficial for both of us, since we don't have to pass through a "middle man". We just work by ourselves.

Most of my posts here were for direct hiring. I found sites which offer direct applications for freelancers. Our concerned visitor's comment gave me an idea not to post again about these "middle men". Direct hiring is definitely better.

Blog and Earn

Some of you may have learned about Search Engine Optimization and how to earn through Google Adsense; but most of you may have no idea how it works, or you've tried inserting some ads on your site, only to find a couple of cents earned in your account.

I'm not an SEO guru; Im still learning how it works through reading what experts has to say. I started placing adsense on my blog for a couple of months now, only to find few dollars on it. It didn't hurt me much though, because with or without the earnings from the advertisements, I would still write blogs.

Write and Make Money at Academia Research

This is my first entry here at freelance depot. So to start up, I want to share to you how you could earn online.

Since last year, I have been researching about online jobs, work at home, freelance jobs, and alike. I have learned a lot through it and have met a number of people who has been in this line of industry, not necessarily full-time; rather most of them do it after their regular day jobs. It amazes me how they make the most out of their time, resources and skills.

Creative writing comes natural from a gifted writer. But not all are blessed with such talent. Actually I'm not really a writer; in fact, I am a Computer Science Major who happens to enjoy writing blogs. But right now, I work as a Web Content Writer for 2 employers which I both applied online. Perhaps, I have developed a skill which I believe people could achieve too.
