Hi, I run a small online publishing company. I'm looking for for a writer to create email articles and website articles for my various email newsletters and websites.

The articles cover a wide variety of topics for consumers and small business owners.

Most topics revolved around how to make more money, save money, be smart with money, etc.. The articles are typically "How To" articles or book/website reviews. I'm looking for a writer with a very particular style and set of skills.

Your writing must be clear and fun to read. My readers want to be engaged, entertained and even amused. They are interested in reading my articles for two reasons, 1) to learn more about the topic, and 2) to see what the heck I'll say or do next (think: Oprah, Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh... love 'em or hate 'em, you can't want to see what they do next).

I'm looking for someone who is a prolific writer, but not a perfectionist. The writing needs to be fluid, casual, and produced quickly. The occasional typo, grammar mistake is not a big deal. Taking 5 hours to edit a single page to get it "perfect" is not desired in this situation.

Most of my email articles and website articles run in series.

So you might create a 5 article series on How to Get out of Debt, or How to Make Money in Your Spare Time, etc... Or you might have to write a 3 articles series reviewing a particular website, book, or home study course.

You'd be expected to spend 30% of your time researching the topic / review the website, book of course and the remainder of your time producing articles - usually 1 - 2 pages each (300 - 600 characters).

I'm expecting this position to require about 10 hours per week. You will need to have access to your computer and internet connection. Hours are very flexible, you can work from home. The only scheduling requirement is that you be available for at least 2 phone calls per week that will occur 9am - Noon PST (the company is based in California, you can be based anywhere). The specific time we chat is flexible as are the days of the week.

Each week you'd be expected to spend 1 - 3 hours researching the topic(s) of the week, and produce either 15-20 short email articles (roughly the length and formality of this job posting) or 10 articles (1-2 pages in length) -- probably some mix of the two.
